Sr. Millicent Peaslee, OLVM


SISTER MILLICENT PEASLEE, OLVM, 100, died on Saturday, April 17, 2021, at Saint Anne Community at Victory Noll, Huntington, IN.


Sister Millicent entered the Congregation of Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters on October 28, 1939, and made first vows on August 5, 1942.  She served in the religious education and parish ministry in the states of Michigan, Indiana, New Mexico, Arizona, Texas, California, and Colorado. Her focus centered on spiritual direction and spiritual formation. She was the co-founder of La Providencia retreat and spirituality center in California. She returned to Victory Noll in June of 2010, and continued to be involved in retreats, days of reflection and spiritual direction.


Sister Millicent was born in Gary, Indiana on March 20, 1921, to Oliver Peaslee and Marie Mosgrove Peaslee. She is preceded in death her three sisters, Sr. Mary Oliver, BVM, Anne Boller and, Kathryn Willson. She is survived by her nieces, nephews and her Victory Noll sisters who she shared life and community for 82 years.


Services will be Tuesday, April 20, 2021.  Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, services will be for sisters only and will be livestreamed.  Please contact victorynoll@olvm.org for the livestream link.


Burial will be at Victory Noll Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
