SISTER JOAN ARNOLD, OLVM, 97, a resident of Saint Anne's
Community, Victory Noll, Huntington, IN, died peacefully on Monday, June 6, 2022.
Sister Joan was born in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, on September 12, 1924, to Herbert Arnold and Beatrice (Mahoney) Arnold. Sister Joan is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Herbert Arnold, Jr., John Arnold, Fred Arnold; three sisters, Rita Woolley, Louise Hughes, and Mary Elizabeth Brown. Her sisters, Eleanor McCann and Helen Bozzo survive sister along with many nieces and nephews and her Victory Noll sisters with whom she has shared life and community for 71 years.
Sister Joan entered the Congregation of Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters on October 27, 1948, and made first vows on August 5, 1951. She served in the states of Texas, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, New Mexico, and West Virginia. Sister Joan served the Congregation as the
General Treasurer from 1968 to 1977, as Vice President of the Leadership Team from 1984 to 1992. After her terms on the leadership team, Sister Joan assisted in the Finance department and later became the Social Justice Coordinator writing a peace and justice newsletter to keep the congregation informed on justice issues. She never stopped working to make sure every sister living at Victory Noll was registered to vote.

Burial will be at Victory Noll Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
