SISTER MARY DORAN, OLVM, 85, a Victory Noll sister and resident of Bermuda Dunes California, died on September 15, 2019, in California.
Sister Mary was born in Ludlow, Kentucky, on September 11, 1934, to Charles J. Doran and Lillian Kohnen Doran. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, John Doran. She is survived by two sisters, Patricia Brauer Eileen Northcutt and one brother, James Doran, all of Las Vegas, Nevada. Sr. Mary is also survived by her Victory Noll Sisters which she shared life and community for 66 years.
Sr. Mary entered the Congregation of Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters on January 6, 1953 and made first vows on August 5, 1955. She served in the missions in Indiana, Florida, Arizona, and California. Her ministry included religious education, lay leadership and working for the United Farm Workers. In 1994, she became a paralegal for Inland Counties Legal Services in Indio, California for 12 years until her retirement in 2012.
A Vigil Service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Friday, October 4, 2019, with calling one hour prior to the service from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Bishop Noll Memorial Chapel, 1900 W Park Drive.
Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, October 5, 2019, with calling one hour prior to the Mass from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Bishop Noll Memorial Chapel with Father Phil DeVolder presiding. Burial will be at Victory Noll Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
