SISTER PATRICIA KNAPP, OLVM, 99, died on Thursday, June 13, 2019, at Saint Anne's Community at Victory Noll, Huntington.
Sister Patricia was born in South Haven, Michigan on October 15, 1919, to William Henry Knapp and Emma Christina (Schildgen) Knapp.
Sister Patricia entered the Congregation of Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters on October 30, 1940 and made first vows on August 5, 1943. She worked in religious education in several states the longest being in East Chicago, Illinois from 1971 to 1987. She then moved to Coral Springs Florida, where she realized she was not quite ready to retire so she volunteered as with several different agencies including the police department and Habitat for Humanity’s office. She also visited the residents in Saint Andrew's Towers, a retirement community. She returned to Victory Noll in May of 2008.
Sister Patricia is survived by one brother, Ivo Leon Knapp, many nieces and nephews and her Victory Noll Sisters with whom she shared life and community for 79 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her four brothers, William Jr., Keith, Francis and Father Joseph Knapp, OCSO, and her four sisters, Teresa Locey, Ruth Kerbawy, Mary Louise Cunningham, and Emma Locey.
Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 22, 2019, at Archbishop Noll Memorial Chapel, Victory Noll, 25 Victory Noll Drive, Huntington, IN.
Burial will be at the Victory Noll Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
