SISTER MARTIN KSYCKI, OLVM, 93, a resident of Saint Anne Community at Victory Noll, died on December 10, 2017, at Saint Anne Community at Victory Noll, Huntington, Indiana
Sister Martin was born in Dubois, Illinois on November 12, 1924 to Joseph Ksycki and Anna (Polczynski) Ksycki. She is preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Rev. Stanley, John, Charles, and Walter Ksycki, and all six of her sisters, Sr. Stanislaus (Clara) Ksycki, SSND, Sr. Joecile (Theresa) Ksycki, SSND, Martha Grabowski, Victoria Bochantin, Mary Elizabeth Kyscki and Valeria Ksycki, precede her in death. She is survived by nieces and nephews and her Victory Noll sisters with whom she living and shared community for 79 years. Sister Martin entered the Congregation of Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters on October 27, 1948, and made first vows on August 5, 1951. She was a catechist who loved to teach children and adults about the Catholic faith. She served in nine states for over 56 years. Her the missions included parishes in Texas, Pennsylvania, Florida, Indiana, Michigan, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, and Illinois. Serving the last 16 years in Dubois, Illinois. Sister retired to Victory Noll in 2007. A Vigil Service will be at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 13, 2017, with calling one hour prior to the service from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., at Victory Noll Memorial Chapel, 1900 W Park Drive, Huntington, IN. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., on Thursday, December 14, 2017, with calling one hour prior to the Mass from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m., at the Victory Noll Memorial Chapel.
